I really like the idea of the bear-shifter and I was impressed and glad the author provide us with lots of info on bears, since they are not the usual shifter you find.

I like the "new world", the BB only for shifters. I like the teenagers struggling to fit in the world of humans.
I've enjoyed Lia's humor. :)
I really liked the real treat of the end.

I found it unbelivable they would shift in front of someone like they did with Lia, when they are trying to keep it a secret.

In a book store, I would look at this book and think "vampire". That is what I see when I look at the woman. It's a good cover, but not amazing to me. I wouldn't be sure about the romance part, but I would guess a new series with a new heroine.

Cole - I loved him. He was one of the best hero I've found in a book for a long time. He is hot! He was the good guy that had his demon really close to surface.

Mia - I don't like Mia at all. Maybe I will like her in the second book of the series ( I will read the second book), but in this one she was part-time childish and part-time a BIT**, IMO. Really a pain-in-the-ass. I believe my only good moment with Mia, It was 72% in my kindle and it lasted until 75%. This was my struggle with the book.
I know the author explained the character's emotional struggles, but for me it did not justified her being that negative of a person for so long. She was a mood killer for everything and everyone, but poor Cole that was cheated by fate. (Really when the world has mark you to mate with "Ms. congeniality" you are in a bucket of bad-fate-luck)

Secondary characters - so many good ones, Mia's mom and Gonela really my favorites.

The story POV switches the entire book between Cole an Mia. I personally like this approach and maybe this is one of the reasons that I dislike Mia so much, because the author masterfully develop her characters's thoughts, feelings and emotions.

It's a fast-paced, well written plot. The story was easy to follow and kept me guessing all the time. I was very surprise and pleased that the "bad-guy helper" wasn't whom I previously thought it would be. The intensity level was perfect, Mia's "movie quotes" were fun and at the end of the book I wanted more.

The author was very smart with the sexual tension of the book and with the intensity level towards the end. The elevator scene, was worth for the entire book. HOT HOT HOT!

It's new! Tina Carreiro brought a lot of unexpected things, lots of new ideas. Really enjoyed her creativity.

Impressions and opinion

I have to say the book is really interesting, because I disliked the female character so much that if the plot wasn't amazing I would have thrown this in the not-finished pile.
Really, what should we do when we like everything about a book, BUT the main female character?

I did stop reading when I was half way into the book for a couple days, just so I could mentally stop murdering Mia for a while to get back to the book.

I'm looking forward to she second book, and I've decided to put up with Mia, only because Cole is too much for me to pass.

I recommend this book if you like mixed-pnr.

I would have guess that it was an erotica romance.
I also find the black and white photo very elegant.

Conner: I really liked him. Even though I guess I would like him to be a bit more rough on the edges, he did make up for it during sex. :)
Casi: She was a good character also. Not so nice, more troubled than Conner, but her separation was freshier than him, so I guess her scars were to new still.

It's a really well written story. Even though that's a lot of sex scenes, it doesn't feel this way, because they have meaning and purpose on the plot.
I like how the author brought out the emotions of the characters which really helped me to connect with them and feel throught the book their feelings.
My one major problem was the ending. I did not like at all. I felt it was rushed, that maybe if there story were a bit longer we could have the end that it deserved. In fact, the games were amazing and I did not believe that the couple felt like it they wouldn't need it anymore within their relationship going steady.

I would have rated the plot 5 stars, but near the ending it's suppose to be the climax of the book and it left me frustrated.

I found it refreshing. It brought something new, even though I was expecting the HEA, it took me a while to find out who would be the "break-up" reason before the I-love-you-forever-kind-of-thing (which I personally love, because I'm always looking for a HEA).

I don't remember a particular problem with the book, which was wonderful. Nowadays, specially in short-stories I find a lot of typo problems.

This was almost the perfect short-story book. I cannot let a bad ending slide though.

I would recommend this book to everyone that likes contemporary romance. If you are not into erotica though, you won't like, and maybe if you only read hardcore kinky it won't like it either.

If you are like me that read from vanilla romance to hardcore, you will have a thrill.
It's very sweet kinky! Hot!

I can see it's a contemporary menage. It's not really really hot, but that's not what this book is about.
I wished they had kept the leaves out, so the title would have been in the bottom not on top of the people.
I would buy in a store without much thinking.

Paxton: He is ok. Yeah, he should be the one for me to love usually, because I adore a cop and he seem to be the dominant in his relationship. But then, starts my few problems with Paxton. First he is too perfect, and I adore imperfections. Second, I did not love the fact that he wasn't complete honest with his partner, maybe because I did really liked Nicholas and felt that he deserved it better. (3 stars)

Nicholas: He is adorable. Gay that has never had any interest in a woman before. He is insecure, but he takes on the things that he fears instead of hiding from them. I was a bit bother by the fact that he wasn't looking for another job, but that's my personal craziness lol.(4 stars)

Jodi: My favorite of the trio. I really liked Jodi. She had everything to be a victim, but she wasn't. She took on her ghosts straight-on and she was never afraid of taking the next step. (5 stars)

The biggest surprise of the book, and at that moment Ms. Turner won me a little bit, was that this book was a love story. It was a menage, but it was never focus on the sex between three people. It was focus in how; Jodi that has always loved Paxton, that loves Nicholas and Jodi, that starts no also love Nicholas, win the game of her life, Nicholas' heart. Really, for a short book, it was kind of emotional roller coaster of the three characters. Specially for Nicholas.
Even though the book tries to bring Jodi to the spotlight, I throughly felt that this journey belong to Nicholas most of all. It was not cheesy how a gay man start to love a not-perfect-at-all woman.

The story was easy to read, and it come as a nice surprise for me. I did end the book wanting more, and that for me was the fault of the book. It should have been a full novel and not a novella.
I wished the author had more time to give us a full account of this love journey.

Sex was never the focus of this book, it had a few scenes, not that hot, but endearing.
The one big scene with all three characters was equallly divided between the three, which is always good IMO.

For me it was really new. This was the first book I've read with menage that didn't explore the sex so much and that if focus more on the internal/emotional journey of the characters. It was different and unexpected for me, the reason why I gave 5 stars.

I was suppose to have read and reviewed this book last year. Due to personal problems I wasn't able to read until this week.

For those that loves erotica, specially the hardcore type this maybe a bit to tame.
If, you like erotica, but also venture into romantic stories like I do, you will enjoy this read, that will take you into an emotional journey.

I will keep on reading Ms. Turner's book because, what I've read so far, has really captivated me.

It's hot! We can see it's going to be sexy and that has a m/f couple in it.
What am I missing? Anything that tells me this is a PNR book of were-wolves. (That would be 1 star, but I took out 1.5, because something else is missing for me, just don't know what)

Hero: He is a good one. Hot, dominant male. (he would be a 4 stars)
Heroine: She was ok. I don't know, she was a bit annoying. I don't know why exactly but she wasn't the type of heroine that I fall in love with. (she would be between 2.5 and 3 stars)
secondary characters: I think his sibling maybe interesting. I really like his sister.
EVIL: Everything was suppose to make me hate her dad, not that I didn't but it just really made me dislike the heroine a little bit. Really, that are limits of being clueless (that's me trying to be nice here).

This is a hard one. I like erotica and I like PNR. Shifters are my favorite PNR, but I think this book was had a bit too much sex and not enough story.

Yeah, some scenes were HOT HOT HOT. But the story was chopped, very one-dimensional, the author didn't give me a real link for me to connect with the characters. I would like to know more how the packs work and so on.

It's a novella I know, but it needed a thicker plot.

I love shifters and I've read many many many books with them. I like the cabin scene and that made me read the book until the end. Was it knew, I don't know, but it was a good hook for me.

This was horrible! I'm sorry I know I can be picky with this. But not only I found too many typo mistakes, but I also I found a couple sentences that I had to stop and re-read it a few times to understand.
I guess, this was one of the reasons I couldn't connect with the characters.

I really hope this was a first time edition type of thing, and that the next book of the series won't have this problem.

Sometimes I ask myself why I use this kind of organization into my reviews, this book is a great example for it. I had no idea what rating would I give this book. I had no idea if the sex had been enough to carry me on for the next book of the series or if this was it for me. So, my steps helped me organize my thoughts and get a clear picture of the whole book.

(my crazy Math: the cover I just add there for people like me, that would buy a book by it's cover or not buy because of horrible cover.
3.5 characters + 2 plot = 2.75, I will always go higher = 3
3 above sum + 4.5 sex heat = 4
4 above sum + 3 originality = 3.5
3.5 above sum + 1 editing = 2.25 = 2.5)

GR doesn't have the half, so depending of the cover I will go higher or lower for the ratings. (only 4 and 5 covers takes it higher)

I guess, after my crazy math and my indecision, I would rate this book average and will probably give the series a second chance. But that wouldn't be right now.
One of these days, I will try and read the second book and I hope the typo mistakes won't be there.

Have you seen this cover? It's amazing! I would buy it in a store, just for the cover alone. I would know exactly what this book is about.
What would I see in a store? This book is hot, with an m/m/f relationship, where we probably would guess with a m/m couple and the f coming in later. I would guess pnr, and most specially vampire because of the grayish color and the face of the male.

I have no idea whom I've liked best. 2 amazing heros and 1 kick-ass heroine. Really! Tracy Cooper-Posey was inspired.

If I could make one criticism it would be, that I would like to know what species exactly is each character.
But I believe the discovery is part of the journey of the book.

It was a very well written story. It was not hard for me to follow, even though I have never been to this "world" before. I like how the author explained the mixture of fiction with RL myths.
It was fast-pacing, even though a long book, and it keep me guessing all along. The author was amazing about increasing the intensity of this book and at the end I was totally satisfied at the same time wanting to read the next one.
This is one of the big props I would give the author. This is a serie with clearly a new world to be explored but it ended as a complete novel, no cliffhangers whatsoever. Amazing!

I don't believe I've ever read a book from this author before. I know I got it as a freebie and I was suppose to have read it last year for a BOTM. Life ended it up getting in my way and I've only read it this week.
Never too late for greatness! I was really surprise by the book. I did choose it to read it by alphabetical order in my kindle, it was just my luck it starts with a B. lol

Among the many surprises this book brought, my favorite one, was how well the author mixed sex and love. It has lots and lots of sex scenes. Since I'm an erotica lover, I was very pleased with it. But, I don't find often, really hot sex scenes that doesn't make me doubt the love in it. Well, the author made me really believe that everybody was in love with each other in this book. My, need-must have HEA side, was well pleased at that.

If I would recommend this book? Please, what are you waiting for? I've said at the beginning this is a PNR - menage book. If you've read my review, you probably enjoy this type of book. Get yours and wow yourself!

It's a fabulous vampire book!


Summary

Cherry was turned 6 years before against her will. Now she just gets through life, not really enjoying it. Of course she is a vampire and as such, she needs to feed, but she avoids any kind of relationship and lives a solitary life.
Alex is a cop and can't/won't change that. It doesn't mean that it's not lonely, since he is still trying to cope with his last break up because of his "not ideal job".
They meet in a bar, each with their own agenda. What they didn't know was, that fate would keep them together and the past could break them apart.
In this fun, fast-paced, sexy vampire book, you will find great characters, amazing plot and hot steamy sex.

Impressions and Opinion

Sotia is a superb writer. Her writing style is impeccable and her creativity flawless.
Her characters were hard to dislike. The hero was as alpha as he could get, but so beautifully kind. The heroine, witty, funny and vulnerable at the same time.

Oh my, what would I do on top of the hood of a car? Still fanning myself!

Review: Generational Sins

It's a 4.5 stars. So so so good! Not 5 stars because of the ending. :)

The author used a very unique way of writing. Each chapter had a different POV (the male and female leads) and it also switched between present and past. It usually ended the chapters with something major and we had to wait 2 chapters to know what would be next. I really enjoyed the back and forth.

I've never wrote a review quite like this one, but I have so many clips and notes from this book that I will write my review using my notes.

Impressions, opinion and sort of a summary

David/Dom/Domestic violence victim's POV

She was my darkest secret and my greatest light
Even though I may not agree all the time, one thing was perfect clear for me, David and Katlyn truly loved each other. Their love sometimes seemed like dependence IMO, but it was there no matter what. I could feel it the entire book from both of them.

She had been a submissive? What did that even mean? She said there was more to it then just rough sex, but I was confused and quite frankly intimidated. What did she expect of me now? What if I disappointed her?
David was lost. He grew up with domestic violence and what was normal in his world, wasn't for everyone else. Through out the book I could definitely see him maturing and learning from Katlyn. I believe that she was the stronger of the relationship and I believe that she could had a good life without him, he would not have make it without her. What it's my point here, is that she was the stronger and the sub, he was the weaker and the Dom. Being a sub, doesn't mean being weak.

I was hooked. I wanted to experience the powerful feeling that I had right now, over and over and over. I wanted to watch her do that again. I wanted to deny her orgasms and listen to her beg for them. I wanted to see how many times I could make her come in one day. There would never be enough time to experience every combination of my new fantasies. She had just opened my eyes to a world that I had no idea existed.
It was really great to read about David's emotions. Even though he was the Dom (the one in charge), he was learning from/with his sub, and she was given him a place and a sense of belonging that he had never felt before.

I just thought that my father was stronger than most, and I thought that my mother was better behaved than most. I thought we were elite, like some kind of royalty that played by a different set of rules. When I got older and knew more about abusive relationships, I simply thought that my father was strict. If my mother didn't screw up, he wouldn't hit her. I thought it was her fault. He always told me it was. When I was old enough to understand sex, I thought they were just rougher than most couples.
Wow! How could David perceived the world any different if this is how he grew up? This book really showed his journey to get out of this mold. The author smartly wrote in a way that I could feel David's struggles along the way. Really poignant!


Katlyn/submissive/teacher

David was a natural Dominant; I was a natural submissive. I knew that going in. What I didn't know was that David had no formal training. Apparently he had picked up his habits from his father, which was disturbing, but he'd never read a book on BDSM, never seen it practiced, never been with an experienced partner. He had no idea what it meant to be in a healthy D/s relationship. He didn't use safewords or even understand them. he would for me though; I wouldn't be with him without one.
It was very interesting to read about a Dom with no training whatsoever learning along the way from his sub. I also really liked that she was an experienced sub and knew what is safe or not, what she should or shouldn't accept on this relationship.
But I have to wonder from this passage, isn't being a Dominant a natural trait born with a person, or someone that is not Dominant can be shaped into one?

"Consent and control", she said, "I am consenting, and you will not lose control with me."
Says the sub, to her Dom. Who has all the control here? Samantha Blair showed the sub's power really well, better than I've ever read before.

I was not about to tell my Dom that he wasn't permitted to hire a plane for the night, but I probably would have argued with my husband over it.
I learned a lot about a sub from Katlyn, this passage it's just one of many. She thinks about her Dom and her husband as if they were two different people, since she only had sort of a "bedroom BDSM" relationship it made sense for me.

It wasn't always perfect, as life never is, but we took each day as it came and made the most of it.
This book was about David's journey, but Katlin really stole the show. She was one of the strongest female leads that I've ever read. Of course she had her own insecurities, but most of the time she was having to guide David into something better and she did not have time for her own problems.
She loved David too much, sometimes I wonder if she didn't love him more than herself.

I still found a bit of a contradiction the sub, that needed to let go of everything to be well and in peace with herself, leading this relationship in which she was always doing the aftercare.

A very intense book!

Yeah, that type of book! I know I will reread it forever.

Summary

When Joss was fourteen her life tragically changed. Now she is twenty two, living in another continent and hiding from her past. Another change has to been made because she needs to look for a new roommate and place to rent.
As Joss moves to Dublin Street, she has to face all the things she's been hiding from. There she will find family, love, friendship and pain. Is she strong enough to face it?
On Dublin Street perfectly explores Joss feelings and turmoils. The book is all about her maturing.

Impressions and Opinion

Braden is the best type of hero. A great alpha male : gorgeous, smart, funny, hot, bossy, that is great in bed. Really, this book is about Joss, but Braden steals the show.

Joss is an amazing heroine, full of flaws but very much real. Even though I couldn't relate with her life experiences I felt emotionally connected with her. I cried and laughed along, I was happy and sad at the same time.

I can see that Samantha Young is an "expert" in characters creation and development. All her characters, including the secondaries were smartly crafted.

I was expecting an erotica read, because many people had tag it as erotica. It is not! It is an amazing contemporary romance.

I recommend this book to anyone really!

Review: Keep Me Safe

It was an ok book! Yeah, I know, I'm saying it was ok and I'm rating 3 stars and not 2 stars. I don't really know why. I'm a little baffled and not certain what to say here.

I'm not going to give a summary because it was all just rape or attempted rape.

Dark Erotica I will not say BDSM, because I didn't see it. I guess because of the non-con people want to call it edgy BDSM. I don't agree.

I like the idea of the story, but the real plot was terrible. The girl was "raped" from the first page to the last almost. What saved it for me? I guess the HEA. And, I'm a freaky I know, but the forced stuff was much hotter than the consent sex of the book.


I kind of liked the heroine. Yeah, all likes no love from me. :0) She was a bit dumb and a bit too passive for me, but her mental work was very interested IMO. I found something redeemable in her.
IMO, she was suffering from Stockholm syndrome and because of it she was seeing so many great qualities in Zachary (her first rapist and later FBI agent).

The hero, I didn't like him. He was a rapist, that was a gangster, that was a cop, that was FBI, that had quit his job, that was inside a job again at the end. Really I didn't get a connection with him, so I didn't really care for him at all. In most books I read, the FBI agents are bad-ass guys. He was not and if this is closer to reality, I don't care, that's why I read fiction!

So, why did I rated 3 stars? Because at the end, I enjoy a nice HEA and I sort of like the heroine. I would read another book if it was the continuation of their story.

I will probably read others books from the author, but I won't be reading it right away.

Review: Daniel's Surrender

Wow! The perfect ending for this series.
All three books were good, but the authors were smart enough to raise the tension to the finale.

Cover- I really liked the cover, I love when we cannot see the face and I can picture them as I want.

hero- There is two as different as night in day and as cliche as it is, in all menages, they complement each other and make the perfect "man".
Mathew is young, flirty, happy, but at the same time he know what he wants and fights to get it.
Daniel is dark and shallow, avoids commitment at all costs. His baggage is heavy, but the book gives the reader a perfect journey through his growth.

heroine - For someone that has never experimented into kinky before, Shannon's acceptance of her feelings and of a total lifestyle was a bit too fast and unbelievable. But she was such a deary character with her fun and willingness that it masked the craziness of it all.

plot- The authors once again take their readers into a journey of the kinky world. It is a greatly crafted book, in which the readers can feel the emotions of the characters.

Impressions and opinion

This was one of the best threesome-book I've read. Mostly because their relationship started as a flirt and it grew in tension and feelings within the book.

I would recommend this book for anyone that likes threesome and BDSM.

I will look into other books from this authors. :)

It's a 3.5 stars. I've rated it higher and not lower because I truly believed in the promise of the series.
It's an "I like it book/series!"

I didn't like the cover at all. I really like covers that I can try to get a feeling of the book and such a fast-paced book like this could not be guessed by its cover.

I really love the heroine, she alone would be a 5 stars IMO. Luce was a do-it-my-way-or-no-way-at-all type of girl. A take charge heroine with some insecurities hidden very well.

I really enjoyed the hero, a tall-dark-and-dangerous master vamp, but for an alpha male he gave in too much for Luce. So, I guess he would be a 4 stars hero.

Nicola Claire created an amazing world for her book. Wow! Vampires, vampires-hunters, shifters, dream-walkers, it had a little of everything beautifully crafted. This world, promise us readers a great future in her series.

Her plot, was good, but the book needed some editing IMO. A bit too long! At times too repetitive.

I didn't like the ending. Even though I know it has 2 more books, it was too abrupt. I also believe that the heroine's power were too much, very unbelievable if there is such a thing within a PNR book.

I love to read threesome, but the promise of a threesome in this series didn't really work for me. I really got stuck with that Alpha Master Vamp! Noway he would allowed room for it!

I'm so excited about the future of this series that I went over and bought the other 2 books!

If you like PNR with kick-ass heroine, alpha-master-vamp and a world full of surprises, I believe you would like this read.

Wow! This is the kind of book that I love! I know I will have to reread it very soon and I will be looking out for anything else the authors has it, because I can just imagine how good it must be!

Impressions and Opinion

Ms. Turner's futuristic world was very creative and realistic. She uses today's concerns and spin them into a possibility for the future and how horrible these prospects could be.

I was touched by her heroine's journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
Thieves disguised as saviors, they'd robbed her of even her most basic humanity. But maybe she could salvage her sense of self with the clarity of how she felt, no matter the loss.

The heat in this book was of-charts!

All three main characters were superb and the plot amazing!

If I have something to complain, is that I really hope Ms. Turner is writing the second book, because at the end, she left us hanging wanting more!

If you like steamy futuristic suspense with two alpha-males and a kick-ass heroine, you should read this book!

Who wants to work undercover with a Rookie?
They become partners in more sense than one. They fight their own ghosts and they get a second chance out of life. Will they be able to enjoy their ride?

Impressions and Opinion

Kelly Jamieson built two really strong characters. I couldn't find any fault for both. Their connections was amazing from the beginning and their struggles very much like real life.
The book started a little slow, but through out the read it grew in complexity. The author touched some very delicate subjects with grace and heart. She also managed some unexpected moments at the end.

I wish for an epilogue for this book. I found the ending a little abrupt and my HEA-heart wanted some hard proofs of how well they stayed together.

I will be looking at some other books of this author. Really amazing read!

It's so so so so good, almost totally love - 4.5 Stars!

Book #1 of Devil DeVere series.
This book is a historical romance. It funny, sensual and so so so HOT! Really, the sex scenes were really steamy! It was a great surprise for me. :)

Lord DeVere is well known as Devil DeVere in London. When the famous rake decides to accept the ultimate bet, he drags his proper best friend, Lord Ned Chambers, and the surprising new actress in town, Lady Phoebe Alice Scott, with him. Together, the three of them, ventures into the King's bedroom for some mischief and mayhem.
By the end of their adventure, two of them ends up in love and one of them in trouble. Will a lord be hang or will another be married?

Impressions and opinion

Wow! The plot line created by Victoria Vane was so well crafted that I'm still amazed by it. The author was extremely clever in her writing and when I thought I knew what comes next, she threw in another curve ball. The ending is sort of unexpected and really left us hanging and wanted more! I'm so looking forward for the next book, because I know this trio still has a lot more to offer us.

In a historical romance, HEA is a given IMO; but sex in the closet and splatered to a door is was a mighty big bonus in this book.

This book has definitely become one of my spurt-the-moment rereads, but I was unable to rated it a 5 stars, because the end it's sort of incomplete. I'm not complaining, I'm really looking forward to read more!

Summary

While in the line she met a man to die for and along with him she enters the club and got a taste of what BDSM might be like. Five years later, Meredith is just a shadow, she has hidden herself behind an ice queen facade, but fate decides to have fun with her.
Marcus, her older brother, left their business for a weekend of pleasure and Meredith takes his place in a business meeting. There she is faced with a ghost from her past that is offering her a second chance.
Can Meredith find her old fun self inside and take the risk? Does she have a submissive hidden inside?

Impressions and personal opinion

Violet Summers take the readers into a journey inside D/S and BDSM lifestyle. Meredith self-discovery and personal acceptance is very well explained and through out the book I have taken this path along with Meredith.

Meredith is a very well developed character. She is multidimensional and endearing.
Tony was a great character, but I felt that he preached things that he didn't do himself.

My one complain about the book was that Tony's overprotection was hypocritical to say the least,and because of it, I could not find myself given this book 5 stars.

I'm really looking forward to meet the next Worthington. From a brief glance at the end of this book, I might say he is into threesome. :)
